What the Assistant Does
The Podpage Assistant uses AI to help your podcast get found by more listeners through better SEO and richer content. Instead of spending hours optimizing each episode, the Assistant handles it for you.
Here's what it can do:
- Identify the best search keyphrase to target — The Assistant analyzes your episode and finds the keyphrase most likely to drive organic traffic.
- Generate optimized SEO titles and descriptions — Get search-friendly titles and meta descriptions written for each episode automatically.
- Expand your show notes — Turn brief show notes into detailed, search-friendly content that helps Google understand what your episode is about.
- Create SEO schema — Automatically generate structured data including FAQs and key takeaways, giving search engines even more context about your content.
- Generate episode transcriptions — If your podcast host doesn't provide transcripts, the Assistant can create them for you.
- Create companion blog posts — Each episode can get a dedicated blog post that supports your episode's SEO and gives listeners another way to find you.
- Automatically categorize episodes — Keep your episode library organized without lifting a finger.
How to Get Started
Log into your Podpage dashboard and click "Assistant" in the left-hand menu. From there, you can configure each feature individually.
Every feature can run in one of two modes:
- Review — The Assistant generates the content, but you review and approve it before anything is published. This gives you full control over what goes live.
- Auto — The Assistant generates and publishes content automatically. Set it and forget it.
We recommend starting with Review mode so you can see the quality of the output and get comfortable with how it works. Once you're happy with the results, you can switch individual features to Auto whenever you're ready.
Built on Top of What Podpage Already Does
The Assistant is in addition to all the SEO optimization Podpage is already doing for you behind the scenes. Every Podpage site automatically includes:
- Structured data (JSON-LD schema) — PodcastSeries, PodcastEpisode, Person, VideoObject, and more — so search engines understand exactly what your content is
- XML sitemaps — Automatically generated and kept up to date as you publish new episodes, blog posts, and pages
- Open Graph & Twitter Card meta tags — So your episodes look great when shared on social media
- Optimized robots.txt — Welcoming search engines and AI search bots while blocking scrapers and training crawlers
- llms.txt — A machine-readable manifest that helps AI search agents discover and understand your site
- Performance optimization — Preconnect hints, responsive images, and resource preloading for fast page loads
All of this happens automatically — no configuration required. The Assistant builds on this foundation by optimizing the content itself — the part that's unique to every episode you publish.
