How the agent connection works

The Agent-Built Websites workflow uses Podpage’s existing customer connection through Model Context Protocol (MCP). Claude, Codex, and other compatible clients connect through the same customer service.

Once invited, create a new custom website from your podcast’s RSS feed, add the Podpage connection in your agent’s MCP or connector settings, and sign in to authorize access. Your agent retrieves the supported starter and your podcast content before preparing a design.

Your invitation includes the connection steps and supported-client details for your site. Use those instructions to enable custom website tools for your account.

Supported source and existing designs

Agent-Built Websites use a supported starter with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and restricted templates that connect to Podpage content. Podpage retains the source and builds the website from it, allowing new episodes to appear without recreating the design.

Your connected agent creates or adapts the design using this starter and submits it through Podpage’s preview workflow. WordPress themes and finished HTML folders cannot be uploaded as ready-to-host sites. Designs from React, Next.js, or Astro projects also need to be adapted by your agent to the supported starter.

Custom pages are part of the design workflow. The supported environment does not run customer server code, custom databases, package installation, or arbitrary build commands. Your early-access setup includes the starter, source requirements, and build limits.

From preview to a live website

1. Create the design. Describe your website to your connected agent. It prepares source using the supported starter and submits it to Podpage for a preview.
2. Review the preview. Open the link, inspect the site, and ask your agent for any changes.
3. Approve publication. Tell your agent to publish the reviewed version, or publish it from Podpage.
4. Keep a way back. Saved versions let you restore an earlier design. A failed build leaves the last working website in place.

This workflow applies to websites with custom publishing enabled through early access.

What happens after the agent session ends?

Podpage keeps reading your podcast’s RSS feed. With automatic content publishing enabled, new episodes appear on your website using your approved design. You don’t need to reopen your agent for each episode.

Manage podcast content in the Podpage dashboard and return to your agent when you want to change the design. Automatic content publishing can be paused; new design versions go through preview and approval.

The podcast tools behind your design

Your custom website connects to Podpage’s content and services. Manage subscriber lists, guests, messages, and promotion settings in the dashboard while your agent controls the design.

• Audience email. Collect subscribers and enable automatic new-episode alerts. Podpage handles delivery, unsubscribe preferences, and bounces. Episode-alert sending requires a paid plan; the Pro trial does not enable sending.
• Social promotion. Connect supported social accounts and configure automatic episode posts in Podpage. Writing a post with an agent and scheduling or sending it through a connected account are separate actions.
• Guest management. Collect guest bios, photos, and links through intake forms, associate guests with episodes, and enable guest episode notifications. Public profiles belong in the website; private contact details and intake responses stay in the management tools.
• Audience interaction. Use the supported Podpage forms, hosted pages, or widgets for contact messages, email signup, surveys, and voicemail. These connect submissions to your dashboard.
• Listener reviews. Use imported Apple Podcasts and Podchaser reviews in your custom layout, respecting the reviews selected for public display.

Connect forms through the services supplied for your site. A form drawn by your agent needs a working submission destination; matching the appearance of a signup or intake form does not connect it to Podpage. The early-access setup identifies the supported integrations for your site.

SEO still has an ongoing job

Your agent can write search-friendly copy and design page structure. Podpage’s content and publishing system supplies the episode URLs, metadata, and sitemap behind a growing archive, with redirect management for changed paths. Your custom templates need to render the supplied metadata correctly.

Advanced SEO analysis and automated content enrichment are separate tools with their own plan and compatibility requirements. Using an agent does not unlock Elite features, and custom design alone does not guarantee search rankings or performance.

Feature availability follows your subscription and the integrations enabled for your custom site. Configure automations in Podpage; connecting an agent does not automatically turn on audience emails or social posting.

Availability and pricing

Agent-built website design is an included capability with Podpage Pro or Elite. New websites get the usual 14-day Pro trial. Your plan determines which Podpage tools are available, and your AI tool’s subscription is separate.

Early access is for newly created, individual podcast websites. Existing Podpage sites are not eligible for conversion during early access. Join the waitlist to request an invitation.
