Posting to the Wrong Facebook or Instagram Account

If your episodes are posting to the wrong Facebook Page or Instagram account, there are two ways to fix it depending on the situation.

Option 1: Change the account directly

This is the quickest fix if the right account is already authorized.

  1. Go to Grow → Social Posts → Accounts.
  2. Find the connected account and look for a Change button next to the page or account it's currently posting to.
  3. Choose the correct page or account from the list.

If the page or account you want isn't in the list, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect using the steps below.

Option 2: Disconnect and reconnect with the right settings

Facebook controls which of your Pages and Instagram accounts Podpage is allowed to post to. If the right one isn't showing up, you need to re-authorize and grant access to the correct accounts during that process.

Step 1: Disconnect

Go to Grow → Social Posts → Accounts, find the Facebook or Instagram connection, and click Disconnect.

Step 2: Connect again — and click "Edit Settings"

On the same Accounts page, click Connect Accounts and select Facebook (or Instagram). Facebook will show a screen saying "Continue as [Your Name]?"

Do not click Continue. Click Edit Settings instead. Clicking Continue will reuse your previous settings, which is likely how the wrong account got connected in the first place.

Step 3: Choose your Pages

Facebook will ask which Pages you want to give Podpage access to.

  • We recommend choosing "Opt in to all current and future Pages" — this ensures all your Pages are available now and in the future.
  • If you prefer to select specific Pages, check each one you want available.
Note for users with multiple podcasts: This is a permission for your Podpage.com account as a whole, not just this one podcast. If you uncheck a Page that another podcast was already posting to, that connection will break. When in doubt, opt into all.

Step 4: Choose your Business (if prompted)

If you manage Pages through a Meta Business account, Facebook will ask which Business to grant access to. Select the one your Pages are under. When in doubt, select all.

Step 5: Choose your Instagram accounts (Instagram only)

Facebook will ask which Instagram accounts you want to give Podpage access to.

  • We recommend choosing "Opt in to all current and future Instagram accounts" — this ensures all your accounts are available now and in the future.
  • If you prefer to select specific accounts, check each one you want available.
Note for users with multiple podcasts: This is a permission for your Podpage.com account as a whole, not just this one podcast. If you uncheck an account that another podcast was already posting to, that connection will break. When in doubt, opt into all.

Step 6: Confirm the right account is selected in Podpage

Once you're back in your Accounts page, check the Posting to… field for the connection. Make sure it shows the correct Page or Instagram account. If it doesn't, use the Change button to select the right one from the list.
