NOTE 5/6/2026: This MCP is very very very much in beta. It's likely to be in beta for a while. During the beta, there is no tier-based access differences, but it's likely in the future this will be limited to just Pro or Elite users. We reserve the right to change access at any point during this beta.
You can now give Claude.ai, Cursor, or any other AI tool that speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol) the ability to edit your Podpage. That means you can say things like "draft show notes for my last episode and post them" or "fix typos across all my custom pages" and the agent will make the changes for you — without ever needing your password.
It's opt-in, scoped to only the podcasts you already own or manage, and you can revoke access at any time.
What you can do once it's connected
Your AI agent can read and edit almost anything you can change in the dashboard, including:
- Podcast branding, colors, homepage, navigation, SEO, and general settings
- Episodes — show notes, summaries, artwork, deep links, chapter info
- Custom pages and blog posts (create, edit, delete, publish)
- Hosts, guests, sponsors, reviews, links, videos, downloadable files
- Store products, redirects, listener-survey questions
Some things are read-only for safety, even once connected:
- Subscribers, contact-form messages, voicemails, survey responses — your AI can read them to help you reply, but it can't delete or export them
And some things are always off-limits to the agent, no matter what you ask:
- Your custom domain and RSS feed path
- Custom CSS, custom JavaScript, and custom header/HTML code
- Stripe, Circle, Heartbeat, and other third-party integration tokens
- Your plan, billing, and payment methods
Those are locked so that a rogue or confused prompt can never take your site off the air or leak a secret.
Connect Claude.ai
- In Claude.ai, open Settings (top right) → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector.
- For the URL, paste: https://mcp.podpage.com/mcp
- Give it a friendly name like "Podpage" and save.
- Claude will open a Podpage login window. Sign in with the email you use for your show.
- On the consent screen, confirm that you want Claude to read and edit your podcasts, then click Allow.
You'll pop back into Claude with the Podpage connector active. Try it out: "List the podcasts I can edit on Podpage," then "Rewrite the description of my latest episode in a warmer tone."
Connect Cursor
- Open Cursor and go to Settings → MCP (or Cursor Settings → Features → MCP Servers).
- Click Add new MCP server.
- Pick the URL / Streamable HTTP option and paste: https://mcp.podpage.com/mcp
- Save. Cursor will open a browser window asking you to sign in to Podpage and approve access — same flow as Claude.
- Back in Cursor, open the chat and you'll see Podpage tools available (list podcasts, get/update episode, etc.).
Other MCP clients
Any tool that supports MCP over streamable-HTTP with OAuth will work the same way. The server URL is always https://mcp.podpage.com/mcp, and the sign-in flow is handled by Podpage, so you don't paste any tokens or keys.
Signing in and approving access
The first time you connect a new tool, Podpage shows a consent screen listing the account the AI is about to act on behalf of (that's you) and what it's allowed to do (read and edit your podcasts). Approve it once per tool and you're set.
You can revoke a tool's access at any time from your Podpage account settings → Connected apps. Any chats still using that token will immediately stop working.
A note on safety
Because your agent is making live changes to your site, we recommend:
- Asking it to summarize what it's about to change before it actually changes it.
- Using a test episode or draft page when you're trying something new.
- Revoking access on any tool you're no longer using.
Tip: Great first prompt to try — "Podpage: list my podcasts, then for the most recent episode of [show name], pull the show notes and make them about 30% shorter." You'll see the agent walk through the steps and ask before saving.
